Daily Practice Times:

Monday - Friday 3:30 - 5:30 pm

Football is a no-cut sport for 7th and 8th-grade students. We will field combined grade level varsity and junior varsity teams.  Each athlete needs to provide football cleats and a mouthpiece (clear and white-colored mouthpieces are not allowed).  All other helmets, pads, and uniforms are provided for use for the duration of the season.  All participating athletes must be currently enrolled at Kinard and are required to complete the registration process and pay the participation fee prior to joining the team.  Please notify coaches of any medical needs that are specific to your child prior to the start of the season (i.e. asthma, etc.).  

Summer & Pre-Season Activities

Optional Summer Workouts: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00-11:00 AM on the Kinard football field starting 7/18/23-8/3/2023.

Preseason Camp: Thursday 8/10/23 - Wednesday 8/16/23 (excluding the weekend) from 3:30-5:30 PM on the Kinard football field. 

Free Mouth Guards From Crane Orthodontics

For the past ten years, the team at Crane & Seager Orthodontics has been providing great custom made mouth guards for PSD football players, free of charge.  Custom mouthguards provide great protection and fit perfectly.  To take advantage of this opportunity, follow the steps below:

They start this process by setting up specific days for teams to come into the office for impressions.  They use these impressions to create plaster casts of the teeth, called models.  Each model is cleaned and prepared for lamination.  Their lab technicians then cut each mouth guard to each player’s specific dental anatomy.  No two mouths are exactly alike, so therefore, no two players mouth guards are alike.  The mouth guards are also made to match Kinard’s school colors (royal blue).  Because the lamination process is completely customized, their mouth guard process works for athletes with or without braces; so in addition to looking great, they deliver a mouth guard that fits perfectly!  This better fit enables athletes to be able to speak clearly to their teammates during competitions and ensures that their breathing will not be obstructed.  

While the Crane & Seager Orthodontics team appreciates the opportunity to support our football players with mouth guards, there is also a variety of other vendors to choose from for your child.  Please note that all football players are required to wear a mouth guard during practices/games.
