General Information

Softball is a non-cut sport available to both 7th and 8th-grade girls.  Kinard will field one varsity level team and a JV team(s) as participation numbers will allow (TBD).  Team placements will take place during the first week of the season.  Each player needs to provide a mitt and cleats for practice.  School uniforms are provided during competitions for use for the duration of the season.   All participating athletes must be currently enrolled at Kinard and are required to complete the registration process and pay the participation fee prior to joining the team.  Please notify coaches of any medical needs that are specific to your child prior to the start of the season (i.e. asthma, etc.).  

Summer & Pre-Season Activities

Pre-season sports camps and workouts give student-athletes the opportunity to begin working on skills and preparing for the upcoming sports season.  These camps are not mandatory for participation in sports at Kinard, and participation in the camp will have no bearing on the athlete’s team placement or playing time when the season begins. The camps are free of charge to Kinard students enrolled in 7th, or 8th grade for the current academic school year.

Any student-athlete participating in a pre-season camp or summer workout must have an updated physical form on file with the front office.
